The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Annunciation #1962 participated in the Promoting Literacy Across Texas, PLAT, reading event at Sacred Heart School again this year. The event is always held around March 2nd each year to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss. There were 8 volunteer readers that read to the pre-k 3 through 5th grade classes at Sacred Heart on Monday, March 3rd during the first period class. The volunteers were given the opportunity to choose an age-appropriate Dr. Seuss book to read to their assigned class as well as a Dr. Seuss look-a-like top hat that they adorned or used as a prop.
